Debunking the Gold Standard

If you take the average person off the street and ask them if they have ever held a piece of gold, they will tell you "no." If you ask the same person if they have ever seen a piece of gold, you may have a marginally different response, but still, overwhelmingly, that person will say "no."  And yet, they believe in it.  They entrust everything to it.  Their whole lives resolve around this belief.

The naked truth is this: America is not on the gold standard as what many people believe.  In fact, we are not on any precious mineral or element standard.  Furthermore, we are not on any sort of debt or "incumbent owed" system or standard.  We are back by nothing.

There is absolutely nothing backing our money, our interest, our loans, our certificates, or insurance.  The only thing that is keeping us moving along our path and our ability to "purchase" something is held within our treasurer's databases.  All these data bases do is track our transactions.  It knows if we are positive or negative.  That is IT!

What does this mean for us: we are all doomed.  There is nothing we can do.  We will all soon become servants to the powerful members of society that will band together and start ruling the middle, working, and poor classes.  We will return to a mainly agricultural model of civilization where we live off the land.  Others will become nomadic and hunt for their food.  Perhaps our only chance is to move to the coast as quickly as possible and attempt to emigrate to international waters.
