I find myself tapping my toe to every song - quite an accomplishment for a double amputee!

This compilation of Jimmy Wonder songs is the soundtrack to my high school years. The first time I heard "Smells Like Fish" was at our homecoming prep rally. The funny thing was, it was also during my first period. It was destiny.

I bought this CD for my mother who has dementia. I thought that listening to some music from her era would help her connect to some memories. When I gave it to her, she shoved it in her mouth and started chewing it. Maybe it will work better with Jimmy's next compilation album?

These songs are all about the summer and having fun on the beach, (with the exception of "High Tide" which is about a drowning teenager.) It really puts me in the mood to grab my swimsuit!

I have all of Jimmy Wonder's albums - including his previously released compilation albums. So, while I am not getting anything from this album that I don't already have, the cover is great and fun to look at.

Jimmy Wonder reminds me of my families trips to the beach during the summer of '68. We would pile into the Studebaker, roll down the windows, and turn the radio on. I spilled my ice cream cone once and my father beat me while "Sweet Banana Nectar" jingled on in the background. Great Memories.

We met Jimmy Wonder while he was on tour in Key Largo back in July of '59. He sang the same three songs over and over again during his set. When we asked him about it after the show, he made some racial slurs and accused us of stealing his mail. We never listened to him again after that!
